GUTHOS PRE-SEASON MISTRUTH EXPOSED

It was alleged Parramatta Eels captain Clinton Gutherson has been “training the house down” we however believe this statement to be untrue. We reached out to Gutherson for a comment, but due to the serious nature of this investigation he declined our request.

The Sack Report are investigating this matter and will not stop until someone is held accountable.

RUGBY LEAGUE LIVE 5 IS REPORTEDLY IN DEVELOPMENT

On the 26th of June in 2021, the NRL confirmed they were looking to release another Rugby League Live game in 2022 via email. The email reads:

“We are currently working with the developer to ensure the best possible game will be released. At this stage, the launch date is yet to be confirmed but we are hoping to launch in 2022”.

However, recently a post was shared that appears to show Wests Tigers players getting their face scans for the new Rugby League game. If this is true, fans can likely expect the game to release this year. We will update you more on this as we get more information.

FERGUSON’S NRL DEAL ALLEGEDLY OFF THE TABLE AS MEMBERS WITHIN THE KNIGHTS THREATEN TO WALK

It is reported that Blake Ferguson’s NRL comeback is off the table. The Knights were reportedly trying to sign Ferguson on a one year deal despite his charges and were working closely with his managers as they monitored his situation. Gagai, Johns & multiple Knights staff members who wish to remain unnamed have allegedly threatened to walk if Blake Ferguson is signed.

The NRL’s newest expansion team, The Dolphins, are monitoring Ferguson’s situation closely as they look to continue filling out their team.

The NRL’s 10 best Fullbacks (2022)

1. James Tedesco

At number one on our list, we have James Tedesco. Tedesco, 29, has solidified himself as one of the best fullbacks in the game. Whilst the Roosters season may have ended early last season, Tedesco still put on a show despite all of the injuries to his squad.

2. Tom Trbojevic

Tommy Turbo. You don’t get that nickname if you’re slow, not only is Trbojevic fast, he’s also an elite fullback. While Manly’s season may have ended earlier then they hoped, Trbojevic was still in great form all throughout the season however it is his finals performances that kept him from getting that #1 spot on this list.

3. Ryan Papenhuyzen

Papenhuyzen is quickly solidifying himself as one of the games bright young talents at the Melbourne Storm. Whilst he was injured for a long stretch this season, the games he did play in were nothing short of fantastic performances from him. Papenhuyzen has all the tools to succeed and if he is able to play the whole season with no injuries he might have a case for best fullback in the competition.

4. Latrell Mitchell

In 17 appearances last season where he scored 13 tries to go along with 14 try assists, 93 tackle breaks & 18 line breaks Latrell had himself a good season. Despite his season being cut short in round 24 after he was given a grade 2 reckless high tackle charge for his tackle on Joseph Manu, Latrell had a superb season. We expect to see him near the top of this list for years to come!

5. Nicho Hynes

Nicho Hynes had himself quite the year with the Storm. Filling in at fullback whilst Papenhuyzen was injured, Hynes broke out into a future star. In 24 appearances he scored 7 tries and kicked 58 goals at a 74% conversion rate to go along with 17 try assists and 26 line break assists. There is no doubt that Hynes will continue to flourish with the Sharks.

6. Clint Gutherson

Gutherson may not be everybody’s first choice however there is no denying how good he was with the Eels in his 2021 campaign. Gutherson has high quality defence and positional play to go along with all the try scoring opportunities he set up. There is no doubt he was one of the Eels best players in 2021.

7. Kalyn Ponga

Whilst Ponga only played 14 games, winning 8 and losing 6, the impact he had on the knights was huge. The Knights struggled with injury which may have impacted Ponga but when the full squad was in, Ponga was on fire. Ponga will be looking to have a bounce back year.

8. Will Kennedy

Will Kennedy was arguably one of the Sharks best players during their 2021 campaign, an all around threat who will be looking to improve in 2022. It will be interesting to see how he goes under Fitzgibbon

9. Dylan Edwards

He isn’t the flashiest player on this list but he is solid at everything, a real all around player who is happy to do the dirty work. Coming off a premiership, Edwards will be hoping to take his game up a notch next season as the Panthers look to defend their premiership title.

10. AJ Brimson

Brimson had himself another good year despite only suiting up for 18 games due to a jaw injury sidelining him for the remainder of the season. He is an important piece on the Titans and will be there for many years to come as one of their bright young talents. Though he might be switching positions, he is a solid fullback.

Blake Ferguson linked back to NRL return with the Knights

Blake Ferguson has been linked back to a shock NRL return that would see Ferguson in Newcastle Knights colours. After retiring from Rugby League to go and play Rugby Union in Japan, he has since been arrested for cocaine possession and as a result his Rugby Union contract with the Green Rockets Tokatsu from Japans Rugby League One has been torn up.

Ferguson, who is 31, played 249 NRL games for the Cronulla Sharks, Canberra Raiders, Sydney Roosters and the Parramatta Eels.

THE PEOPLE UNDER THE MOST PRESSURE FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON:

10. JASON DEMETRIOU

Following Wayne Bennett’s departure, Jason Demetriou will have a lot to prove. He will also be under pressure to make it back to the finals after last years Grand Finals appearance under Bennett. With the Storm & Roosters looking to make the Grand Finals after having their seasons end early last year and the Panthers will be looking to defend their Premiership. Jason Demetriou will certainly have his work cut out for him.

9. Matthew Moylan

Craig Fitzgibbon will not stand for mediocrity this season. Moylan is going to have to up his game this season if he plans to stay at the Sharks.

8. Kevin Walters

Kevin Walters is in the hot seat after a disappointing season last year and now with this being his contract year he will need to perform, Ben Ikin is a businessman 1st and a friend 2nd.

7. Brad Arthur

It is now or never for Brad Arthur with an influx of players leaving the Eels, while Arthur is contracted till 2024 there will need to be some serious improvement within his team.

6. Adam O’Brien

O’Brien cannot afford to miss the finals after allowing Pearce & Walker to leave the club. There will be a lot of eyes on him this season.

5. Luke Brooks

Luke Brooks needs to be on his A-Game while Doeuhi is out otherwise he’s going to need a GPS to find his way to the NSW Cup grounds.

4. Penrith Panthers

Can they repeat or will another dynasty go to waste. 1991 & 2003 ended up being one off success & this is vital they kick on and make it work.

3. Ricky Stuart

Raiders faithful likely won’t let him continue as the coach if he misses finals again. He’s had 9 years to produce a premiership.

2. Peter O’Sullivan

Needs to find some signings for the Dolphins and he needs to do it ASAP.

1. Kyle Flanagan

Following the mail out of Belmore that Gould is personally coaching him after a fallout with Barrett then there are no more excuses for him. It’s Gus’ way or the highway.
